RUNNING CIRCLES
Circles can last for many years and this length of time can form excellent
mediumship, but of course it is down to the individual sitter and circle
leader. Be prepared for patience as slowly developing your mediumship is
worth its weight in gold, to unfold your gifts can lead to great insights
of the spirit world which will enable you to experience profound spiritual
events in your life.
How to prepare for a circle
Remember to mentally prepare for your circle, try to be peaceful on the
day of the circle - in fact try and be peaceful as much possible on your
journey of development. If you know who your guides are then try and
think about them as this builds a stronger link and aids you in your
circle; if you don't know your guides then still link with them as
everyone has a guide, you don't need names or need to know who they are
at this stage, it just takes a bit of faith and to be honest I didn't know
who mine were for quite awhile - I just knew they were there. Harmony
between the sitters is also important to the circle as there is no room
for ego - thoughts and feeling have a huge impact on the circle, if the
energies are not conducive to the circle then the guides can not work
to their full potential and will stand back and the sitter will find it
hard to work.
Try not to eat a heavy meal at last two hours before a circle because
being too full can make you sleepy and you need to be focused.
Please arrive in good time as a good circle should start on time and
once it starts the doors are to be closed and then no one is to leave
their seats, so it is advisable not to have refreshments before a circle.
A circle shouldn't really last much longer then two hours, though again
the time is down to the circle leader.
The circle's seating arrangements should be organised so each person can
sit in the same place at each meeting, this is important as each person
has a different energy field and in time as the circle progresses these
fields will blend together which helps with the power that is needed to
help the guides work with their sitters. Sometimes there will be change
if new people come into the circle, then the energies will shift but
usually settle again. The guides and the circle leader will be prepared
for this and will deal with it accordingly.
Each circle may vary depending on your circle leader but each circle
should have certain procedures in place.
Opening prayers
Must consist on calling the great spirit or God for guidance, love and
protection; how the prayer is formed is up to the circle leader but it
must be said from the heart as these prayers are felt and heard in the
spirit world.
Meditation
This will quieten the mind ready for your spiritual work
Guided Visualisation
Which will help you see, hear or feel your guides and loved ones.
Message work
This can be accomplished with several different exercises.
Each sitter over a period of time will find what is best for them as
everyone is different and working with their own unique guides, there
is no competition but natural unfoldment of clear and direct lines to
the spirit world.
Closing down
If the sitters feel more comfortable this will be done by visualising or
sensing. These are some that I use if needed for my groups: putting white
light around oneself in the form of a ball, cocoon or cloak, sit in a
flower and allow the petal to close, space suit, closing chakra points,
stand in the light of a master; personally I call to the cherubim and
seraphim angels. What I will say here is that every time you think of
the Great spirit, guides and loved ones you open up and we can drive
ourselves silly by thinking "I must open and close".
Faith in the great spirit and in your spiritual awareness is your
protection and if there are times that you meet certain people or
situations that are negative just stand in the light and call upon your
protector
Closing prayer
When the circle has finished leave the circle room and have refreshment
and some biscuits as this is grounding, but it is wise not to talk about
communicators of the evening as this draws them close again - though of
course there will be times that this will happen but you will learn how
to disconnect.
Once you are involved in a circle you should feel happy and content but
for whatever reason you don't then talk to your circle leader as all
sorts of feelings may arise and as your gifts start to unfold.
It maybe that you can't seem to work in that particular circle so seek
another. Don't take it personally as there are many reasons why this may
happen and please trust your guides as they know best.
Over the many years of sitting in all types of circles, some of which I
stayed in and some I didn't, I have had a chance to learn about circles
good and bad but most of all I learned to trust my guides and my feelings
that have led me this far and continue to give me a warm feeling in my
heart - PEACE.
Good Luck as you take your spiritual adventure.
